无黄油版香蕉面包








从前在一本杂志上读到苹果酱(Apple Sauce)的妙用。它可以等量地替换任何烘培配方中的黄油,起到同样的起酥的作用,而比黄油健康的多。我本不是烘培专家,所以就从自己最拿手的香蕉面包下手。





和以前用过的香蕉面包的配方完全相同,只是用苹果酱替换黄油,效果非常好,还带有淡淡的苹果味。




如果想更健康,还可以自己动手做苹果酱。网上的配方很多,贴一个在下面,有空的时候试一试。


What you need:



1.25kg of apples (granny smiths are good);

1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon;

2/3 cup of honey;

1 cup of water;

stove top;

large cooking pot;

potato masher.



What to do:

  • Peel your apples, get rid of the cores, cut the good stuff into small pieces.

  • Get a large pot, put all of your ingredients in (except the apple cores; they're not good) and bring them to the boil.

  • Once you've got them boiling, reduce the heat, put a lid on the pot and simmer for about 20 minutes.

  • After 20 minutes of simmering, the apples should be nice and soft. Take advantage of this softness by mashing them to a pulp.Note: if you want a really smooth apple sauce, you can put the mixture through a food processor.

  • Keep the sauce in containers in the refrigerator. I find it best to leave the sauce cold for adding to cold food but warm it up before adding to hot food.
